Coyotes and Chickens

We've lost 2 more chickens: 2 of the newest ones that we bought, Apple and Cookie. But their demise has yielded some footprints. So after some investigative work with a tapemeasure, 3 little helpers, and the internet, our initial suspicions were confirmed: a coyote.

We've seen said suspect lurking about, even in broad daylight. The Reward posters are out and Aaron's bound and determined to have the pelt hanging on our shed wall by the first frost. The remaining chickens will be greatful, as they're cooped up until Wile E Coyote is back in the animated world. They're none too happy about being left in the pen.

I just hope that Aaron's around to shoot the thing. I'll do it if I have to, but I'd much rather have him do it.
