The lake had between 6 and 8 inches of snow that blew into some pretty sizable drifts. We went up there this last weekend to have Christmas with G&G T. The kids had never officially been sledding--the closest they got was being pulled in the sled behind Rio, Mom, Dad, or the tractor. They thoroughly enjoyed going downhill, but walking back up was harder for them with their short legs.
Caleb took the record for the most spills, followed closely by Grandpa. I'm pretty sure we left more snow on the hill than in our pants and faces, so that's bonus.
We finally got Grandma to go, she was screaming the whole way, but it looks like it was worth it from the high-5 at the end!
So who says you need snow to go downhill? Grandpa and Morgan took quite a ride! Like Grandma says, "Good thing the snow quits way up there!" They might have ended up on the steeper part of the hill with trees and yuccas!
