Fun, Fireworks and the Fourth

Sparklers were the favorite of the night.

We finally talked the kids into taking a nap during the afternoon. They were persuaded by the promise of staying up later to shoot their fireworks. After depleting our stash, we went to watch the town fireworks. Aaron and I were laughing at the guys who were handlighting Class B stuff. They were even reusing hot mortars! You couldn't pay us enough to do that!

An Independence Day Parade! Can't pass that up. Got to get where we can see, though! Anything coming yet?

Waiting patiently for the parade to start. We had no idea there was going to be a parade...we were headed to the Zoo when we ran into a road block. So we took a detour, parked ourselves in front of Dad's old bank and collected way too much candy.

Grandpa is quite the grillmaster! Now which of those poppers did we put the jalepeno membranes back in?!?

Wheeee! What a relaxing swing! That is until the 15 year old purple ski rope that's holding this monkey chair up decides to break!!!
