We were heading to the flying club to help wash some airplanes when Aaron said, "I know you guys are big helpers. Let's show Mr. John (the organizer of the wash party) how helpful and good you guys can be! Do you think you can do that?" Morgan pipes up in a very excited and intelligent-sounding voice, "Yep, Daddy, I'll be 60% good!!!" Aaron then says, "Well, how about 100% good?" Morgan replies, "Nope, I think that's too much." Aaron says, "Okay, how about 95% good." Morgan says, "Yeah, I think I can do that." Turns out, she exceeded her compromised percentage; both kids did very well and had a blast cleaning the bugs off the bug-smashers.
Caleb had been banished to his room for not obeying Kim. He has a clock in his room hanging on the wall and Kim said, "If you stay in your room like Mommy said, when the big hand gets to the 12 and the little hand is on the 7, you can come out." The clock at that time said 6:37. Five minutes later, Caleb came out saying, "Mommy, come look, the big hand is on the 12! I can come out now!" Kim's watch said 6:42, so she said, "Nope, not yet, go back to your room." Then Caleb insists, "Come look, Mommy, the big hand is on the 12!" A quick look at Caleb's clock said 7:05. Hmmm...We all know time sure moves fast when they're little, but not quite that fast. All we can figure is that Caleb had climbed up on his bookshelf, taken the clock down, moved the hands forward, then hung it back on the wall. If this is his creativity at age 3, 13 ought to be even more fun!
