Hangar beginnings

It all started out with Aaron clearing off a rectangle of our land. He needed a little ballast on the back of the box blade, so we took turns sitting on the 2x6 scrap wood seat. The best part was watching the dirt move under the blade.

Then we checked the grade, then checked it again, and again...and again with the transit. Aaron got it perfect. I couldn't believe he got it to less than 1%.
Then it was time to drop in the posts. Aaron had me drive the tractor while he tied a rope around the middle of the posts. I tried not to smash, hit, or drop the post on Aaron as he guided them into the holes. Of course, the wind didn't help anything. My nerves were shot.
Grandpa T came to help Caleb and Aaron pour cement in the post holes. What an adventure for them!
We then spread the sand out for the foundation for the cement. Morgan, are you spreading sand out or taking it out?
