Jesus is NOT a vampire! And other kid comments.

Caleb: "Mom, my tummy hurts. I think it's because Jesus is in my heart. He must be drinking up all my blood."

Morgan: She didn't finish her supper. "I'm not hungry any more, but I think I have a spot just the right size for a cookie."

Caleb: "It's not any fun to do chores. How about we don't do any more? I like my room dirty."

Morgan: During our master bathroom remodel job: "Mommy, your room is a disaster zone!" Hmmm, wonder where she's heard that one.

Caleb's favorite meal right now: Peanut Butter and Syrup Duckie Sandwich. I have a cookie cutter the shape of a duck.

Chicken Discussion:
  • Morgan: "Daddy, let's get 5 chicks, then we'll have 10 chickens!"
  • Caleb: "I think we need 3 chicks."
  • Mommy, jokingly: "How about 12 chicks?"
  • Morgan: "No, Mom, that's too many!"
  • Daddy, jokingly: "Well, then we'll have some to feed the coyotes with! We can even use Lemon as coyote bait."
  • Morgan, almost in tears: "No, Daddy! We can't let the coyotes eat Lemon!"
  • Aside: Lemon is our white chicken who started out as a yellow chick, hence the name. She's a spitfire, and is currently eating all of her eggs. She's the one who scratches all of the straw out of the boxes. Aaron and I don't have a lot of use for her.
