So we told the kids that we didn't have any water and that they wouldn't be able to flush the toilet or wash their hands. There were two blank stares until a few minutes later when Caleb ate a chocolate chip cookie. He went to turn on the water to wash the large quantity of chocolate off his hands and said, "Mommy, there's no water coming out!" Well, that's what we had tried to tell them!
While we were troubleshooting, Morgan was following Aaron around the house. Our church has been trying to raise money to build clean water wells in Africa and India. Morgan says, "Daddy are we like the people in Africa who don't have any water?" I guess so! At least we are able to fix it so we do get water.
Aaron figured out that the pump itself still works, we just had to replace the pipe coming up out of the well and supplying the house. Replacing 50 feet of pipe is much cheaper than purchasing a new pump. I am so thankful that my wonderful husband can fix virtually anything!

I would have loved for y'all to come over and have a slumber party until your water got fixed . . . but I didn't think you would enjoy our respiratory sickness that we would probably share. :) So glad that he was able to fix it! Miss you!
