Unexpected Weekend Activities

I had been complaining for quite a while about our old dishwasher not cleaning effectively. Cinnamon powder left in the tablespoon after a cycle was the last straw. So we were just halfway looking around from time to time. Sears had a sale on the model we had our eye on, so we decided to see if Lowes would beat it, and they did. So we happened to get a pretty good deal on a new dishwasher, and Aaron bought and installed it for me.

On our way to Lowes.

Caleb's name was drawn to take Friend Bear (the preschool class mascot) home with him this weekend. So we toted around this small stuffed animal and his blanket.

While we were waiting for them to pull our new dishwasher off the upper levels of the store, we decided to head on back out to the car and maybe go to the zoo. When we got outside, we saw they had a free kids clinic in the parking lot and they were making wood fire trucks! Can't pass up that opportunity! So we spent 45 minutes or so putting those together, which was a lot of fun. The fire department was even there with a real truck to show off.

Morgan and Daddy finished their truck first. Imagine that.

Caleb got to put his together with my help (although Daddy had to supervise us both because I kept putting things on upside down). Friend Bear is holding the instructions for us, but I didn't really look at them, maybe that was my problem.
